EDITORIAL As having announced in the previous issue, Turkish Journal of Pathology is now being delivered by mail only to those who are holding the memberships of any regional Pathology Societies and have updated their personal information in Federation of Turkish Pathology Societies official website. Meanwhile we have to mention that our foreign colleagues whose mail addresses are available still have the oppurtunity to receive Turkish Journal of Pathology as before.
Let us share the news with you regarding the forthcoming National Congress. As it is announced, the 21st National Pathology Congress will be held in Izmir on 16-20 November, 2011.
It will be great moments that we meet many well-known international guests such as Hiroyuki Shimada, Jonathan Epstein, Andrew L. Folpe, Elizabeth A Montgomery, Tarık Tihan, Linda Ferrell, Alena Skalova, Guido Massi in our country this year.
There are five courses in the scientific program including prostate pathology, soft tissue tumors, gastrointestinal system endoscopical biopsy interpretation, skeletal muscle pathology, and total quality in pathology. The topics of the sessions will cover pathological aspects of many tissue and systems such as urogenital tract, gynecological organs, breast, soft tissue, endocrine organs, skin, kidney, and brain as well as pediatric and molecular pathology.
Please let us remind you the importance of your participitation to free sessions in which we will discuss general issues in Pathology such as financial status of pathological service and the current activities of Federation of Turkish Pathology Societies including Turkish Journal of Pathology and so on.
Finally we note that as happened in the last two years, the winner of “2011 Best Research Article Award” selected from the authors whose articles have been published this year in Turkish Journal of Pathology will be also announced in the Congress.
