Three different histological types of calcification may be identified in testicular carcinoma. Hematoxylin body type of calcification is specific for germ cell tumors. Ossification type of calcification is most common in teratomas. Laminated calcifications, on the other hand, have been described in association with a wide variety of clinical and pathological situations, for example; germ cell tumors, cryptorchid testes, normal peripubertal testes. In this study , a series of 25 testes with germ cell tumors were reviewed, including 9 seminomas and 16 mixed germ cell tumors. As a result, three types of calcification were identified. The association of the tumor types, the localization and spread of tumor in the tunica albuginea were evaluated.
