Primary pulmonary amyloidosis: Case report
A 55-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital with the complain of proressive dyspnea. Extensive interstitial and reticulonodular infiltration on chest X-ray necessiated the open lung biopsy for the diagnosis. Histopathologic examination of the biopsy specimens revealed primary pulmonary amyloidosis. Physicians should consider primary pulmonary amyloidosis in the differential diagnosis of interstitial diseases of the lung.
