The method of frozen section in surgical pathology and gynecologic oncology Like all the diagnostic tools in medicine frozen sectiıon method has also pitfalls. The best way to decrease discordance rates between the frozen section diagnosis from the permanent sections is to konow the pitfalls. In this review we evaluated the value of frozen section (FS) method, the points that causes discordance, patient selection for FS and the methods that supports the FS. The value of FS in gynecologic oncology is also evaluated.
