Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast Initially Feyrter, described the carcinoid appearance in breast carcinoma. This is followed by different case-report describing neuroendocrine differentiation in the breast carcinoma. Argyrophilic granules detected focally in 3-21% of the breast carcinomas, are shown to be present also in normal ductal epithelial cells. Neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast is still a controversial issue which probably does not carry aggressive properties. We present a female patient of 63 years old having a mass in her left breast which histologically has the appearance of carcinoid tumor.
