Benign infantile hemangioendothelioma of parotid gland Vascular neoplasms of parotid gland are common in early childhood. Infantile hemangioendotheliomas are benign tumors whose dense cellularity may lead to confusion with malign tumors. In this study, we reported a four month old female infant that presented with an increasingly enlarging mass in left parotid region. Histologically, this tumor showed an uniform growth patern and is composed of capillary vascular channels. Vascular lumina of tumor were lined by flattened or plump endothelial cells. Well preserved ducts of parotid gland were present in supporting stroma. Immunohistochemically, CD31 and factor VIII were expressed in endothelial cells.
